This is the brand new ADO A20F Ebike! And when I say the new A20F, I mean that! ADO Bikes has kindly sent this bike for testing and evaluation on this channel. Before accepting their offer, I made it clear to them that I wanted to talk freely about the strengths and weaknesses of the bike. I received the bike 4 days after our agreement, and it was shipped from the Polish warehouse.
The new A20F e-bike comes with the latest and most up-to-date controllers, with some great new features and parts upgrades, and it is very well packaged and protected inside its box. As always, you will receive a promo code to receive this bike at an even cheaper price!

The bike arrives folded in half inside a big box, and it is almost fully assembled when it arrives. All of the parts are very well protected by many layers of cotton, wood, and rubber.
Inside the box are the A20F e-bike, charger, user manual, air pump, key and toolset, and phone holder.
Assembling this bike is very quick and easy. All you have to do is unfold it, remove the protective layer, attach the pedals, make sure all screws are properly tightened, inflate the tires, and fully charge the battery before using it for the first time, and then you’re good to go.

The plastic phone mount is flimsy, I’m a bit scared of keeping my phone there. The air pump isn’t of the highest quality either, but come on; these are free gifts.
When the bike is assembled, the size and the quality are very impressive!
It comes with a huge, fat tire wheel with a diameter of 20″ by 4″ that provides a smooth and stable ride. I absolutely love these fat tires! They are so cool, although they can increase rolling resistance a bit and narrow the range. Alloy rims give the bike an aggressive and dynamic look. The tires are quite noisy when riding the bike on asphalt, but I really like that!

A DECE OASIS – ADO BIKE

The 160mm brake disc works great when the front brake and the rear brake are operated at the same time. However, I hope the next upgrade includes hydraulic brakes!
The brake levers are solid, and when pushed, they cut the motor power! Excellent for a safe ride!

A 7-speed Shimano gearbox and powerful 36V and 250 watts motor are mounted on the rear wheels. However, at high speeds, the seven gears become useless. We’ll talk about the motor in a bit.
The aluminum frame is solid and very well made. The welds look good and are extremely durable. It’s not, by any means, a small and lightweight bike as it weighs about 34 kilos with the battery on.
To fully fold the A20F, you need to unlock the main folding system, fold the frame, then unlock the folding handlebar system and pull it backward. The plastic pedals can also be folded, but the front wheels have a fixed axle and cannot be removed, unfortunately.

If you need to make it even smaller, just remove the saddle. By the way, the inside of the seat tube is protected by Teflon. Adjusting the position and height is much easier and will not damage the aluminum seat post. Good touch, ADO Bikes!!
This bicycle can comfortably accommodate people from 150 cm to 200 cm in height. There are many adjustment options for the seat post and handlebars. The maximum load recommendation by the manufacturer is 120 kilos. The 53 cm long handlebar requires some getting used to.

There is no rear suspension, but the tires are thick, so the ride quality is very good. The front suspension is tight and has proven to be very effective in reducing most bumps and shocks. However, there is no adjustment option.
If you like biking in the dark, the front and taillight are pretty bright. To turn on the front light, simply press the button on the left side of the handlebar. You can also find a convenient electric horn in the same place.

To start the bike, you must first insert the key and turn it as you would for a car ignition. You can also use the same key to lock and unlock the battery compartment. The key placement is not optimal. It can get dirty, and the bike won’t run without the key on.
This computer is simple and easy to use. The bright LCD is easy to see even on sunny days, thanks to the backlight. Just press and hold the “Power” button to power on the bike. It shows the odometer, time, trip meter, speed, battery level, and other parameters. You can also choose between three pedal assist modes.

The maximum speed of 25km/h is locked at the factory, but you can easily change it by adjusting the menu settings. To use only pedaling mode (or level 0), you also need to change the setting.

I changed all the settings and unlocked at full speed, but unfortunately, I can’t exceed 33km/h. The maximum speed is relative and depends on the driver’s weight, tire pressure, and battery condition.

The range of the 36V 10.4 Ampere Hour battery is approximately 35 km on a single charge. You can extend the range by cycling together. Charging time is about 6-7 hours. Buying a second battery pack is good for anyone planning a long journey.
Speaking of batteries, like previous models and many other foldable electric bikes, the battery can jump and move inside the frame and make an unpleasant noise. This can be solved by simply installing a felt strip along the battery body. Not a big deal, and easy to fix!

You can connect the charger directly to your bike or remove the battery and charge it elsewhere.
ADO Bikes listened to our complaints, and the new model comes with a tight rubber cap that protects the charging connector from dust and moisture. Since it is officially IPX5 certified, it can be driven even in the rain. It’s not bad to go without power when the battery runs out, but it’s also not the most comfortable cruise!

The motor is powerful enough to climb the heels of the city. It loses speed, but it does the job. Although described at 250 watts, unlocking can reach a maximum output of 500 watts. It’s quiet and doesn’t overheat during my tests.
The new cruise control is really handy, the A20F comes with a half-throttle. The cruise control will keep the same speed when you keep the same acceleration for more than 5 seconds. You will see the letter “P” on the LCD display; the cruise control is active until you touch the brake.

About the three menu modes, the first and the second will work with the pedal assistant, and the third one is for throttle only. If you want to use “throttle only” without having to start cycling, you will need to change the menu settings then.
Another cool feature is the USB charger that can be found even in the dark!
The saddle isn’t bad, but I plan to upgrade it soon. There are some small details that make this bike very special, such as side stand support, cable management, and shock protection of the folding mechanism; again, the quality of this bike is impressive.

I received this bike very well packed and protected, with no visible damage or dents. At first, I couldn’t run the motor. I contacted ADO Bikes customer service and they respond to my message very quickly. The controller settings have changed for some reason. I was able to reset the controller parameters with their instructions and video.
