250W 36V foldable electric bicycle

Look no further than the Ahooga!
Awesome Design and Easy Assembly
The Ahooga isn’t just about functionality; it’s stylish too. You can choose from a variety of cool colors on their website, and they even offer custom colors for an extra touch. Mine?
A fantastic matte green that always turns heads.
These bikes are Belgian-made and shipped swiftly throughout Europe.
Mine arrived securely packed in a compact box and took a mere 5 minutes to assemble. Seriously, all I had to do was attach the front wheel, put on the saddle, and peel off the plastics.
Surprisingly Comfortable Ride
Despite lacking suspension, the Ahooga is surprisingly comfortable.
The well-padded saddle and adjustable handlebars ensure a good riding position, and the 20-inch tires and clever frame design make the ride smooth and safe.
Folds Up Fast and Fits Anywhere
The Ahooga’s true strength lies in its folding design. When folded, it becomes incredibly compact, perfect for storing in small apartments or taking on public transport.
Plus, its sleek design with hidden cables makes it look great even when folded.
Folding and unfolding are a breeze, making it truly portable.

Power and Performance
This EU-regulation-compliant e-bike packs a punch with its small and quiet 250W Aikema motor offering 40 Nm of torque. It provides a surprising amount of power, especially for such a compact bike.
The motor cuts off at 25 km/h, but mine reached 27 km/h on pure electric mode! When you pedal with the motor assist, the Shimano Acera 7-speed drivetrain and 52-tooth chainwheel propel you even further.
The 36V, 7Ah Panasonic Li-Ion battery is compact and convenient. You can charge it on the bike or remove it for charging elsewhere.
While the website claims a 60 km range, I managed 42 km on a single charge. Remember, range varies depending on weight, riding style, and terrain.
Still, pretty impressive for a battery that recharges in just 3 hours!
Handy Features and Easy Adjustments
The adjustable handlebar fits riders from 155 to 200 cm. The Oled display shows power assist levels, speed, mileage, battery level, and controls the bike’s on/off functions.
It’s compact and fits the bike well, though riders needing reading glasses might find the assist levels a bit tricky to see.
Adjusting the handlebar height is simple thanks to the quick-release lever with markers for remembering your preferred setting. The Tektro mechanical brakes with 180mm rear and 160mm front discs provide effective stopping power.
Another cool feature? Retractable mudguards!
They keep you clean and dry when needed, and disappear for a sleek look when not.

Minor Modifications for Personal Preference
The Ahooga doesn’t come with integrated lights, but it does include two bright, USB-chargeable lights. While these work well, I plan to add a stronger front light for extra nighttime visibility.
Another personal preference – I’ll be adding a kickstand for quick stops during rides.
Pros:
- Lightweight and clever design
- Easy to fold and transport
- High-quality parts for durability
- Powerful 250W motor
- Great battery range (up to 60 km)
- Comfortable and steady ride
- Fast charging time (3 hours)
Cons:
- No integrated lights
- No kickstand
- A bit pricey
