Introducing the S1 RETRO LIFER, the ultimate helmet for skateboarding, BMX, and other high-octane action sports. I’ve opted to use this helmet while riding my e-bike since it provides more comprehensive protection, encompassing my entire head, ears, and cheeks. Inside the box, you’ll find some cool stickers and a user manual, although I’m not entirely sure who reads those. Nonetheless, it’s there!

All the crucial information regarding the helmet is printed on the outside of the box, including the importance of measuring your head correctly. All S1 ONE helmets share the same shell size, but their internal liners vary depending on head size. This feature is quite advantageous since all I need to do after extended use is replace the liners instead of buying a brand-new helmet.

While the black matte finish is stunning, it tends to collect grease and dirt quickly. The helmet features ear holes, allowing external sounds to come through, which is a big plus. The buckle is simple and made of plastic, nothing extraordinary. The helmet is incredibly lightweight, allowing me to wear it for an extended period without feeling burdened. It doesn’t get too hot either, thanks to its 11 vents and hard foam construction.

According to S1 Helmets, this helmet provides five times more protection than soft foam helmets. It looks and feels like a premium product, retailing for approximately 65 Euros.
