First Impressions

When I first saw the Hidoes B3 online, I had mixed feelings. The name didn’t really jump out at me, and I expected it to be a clunky, heavy bike.
However, I was completely blown away! It rides like a classic beach cruiser with a powerful electric boost, and despite its size, it’s surprisingly lightweight. The retro style, fat tires, and upright riding position make it super comfortable to ride.

Ride Comfort & Features

The ride itself feels smooth and natural, thanks to the retro springer forks, which do a decent job of absorbing bumps. They might be noisy if you’re not used to them, but they enhance the bike’s overall vintage look.
The 26-inch by 4-inch Kenda fat tires are perfect for providing stability and comfort, and the wide handlebars are spacious and ergonomic, giving a laid-back, cruiser vibe.

Brakes

The braking system on the Hidoes B3 is a bit of a mixed bag:

– Rear brake: The RSX hydraulic brake is powerful and reliable.

– Front brake: Unfortunately, the mechanical front brake leaves a lot to be desired. It’s noisy and lacks stopping power. This is something I plan to upgrade.

Lighting & Display

One standout feature is the massive motorcycle-style headlight—it’s bright and perfect for night rides. However, the taillight is not integrated into the main system and runs on AAA batteries.
The monochromatic display is easy to read and provides essential information like speed, battery level, and trip distance.

Design & Build

The aluminum frame is lightweight yet sturdy, accommodating riders between 175cm and 210cm with a weight limit of 120kg.
At 35.5kg, the bike is easy to maneuver, even for its size. The retro design and classic beach cruiser style are real head-turners.
