Seeing the E26 in person was a pleasant surprise—the chameleon paint job is a work of art, shifting colors depending on the light source. It’s massive, with fat, 26×4.0-inch tires that not only look great but also improve comfort and tackle various terrains effortlessly.

My first ride? Absolutely thrilling! The power, comfort, and quality components left me impressed. Plus, with a price tag under €2,000 (using the exclusive coupon), it’s hard to beat the value.

Power and Performance

750W Bafang Motor

At the heart of the Duotts E26 is a 750-watt Bafang hub motor delivering 80 Nm of torque. It can peak at 1,000 watts, making steep hill climbs a breeze. This motor is not only powerful but also quiet, durable, and easy to maintain—hallmarks of Bafang engineering.

Samsung Battery

The E26 comes with a 48V, 20Ah Samsung battery, offering impressive longevity. This removable battery can be charged both on and off the bike, with a full charge taking 6–8 hours.
In my tests, I achieved 84km of range on levels 3 and 4 with some throttle and light pedaling. Duotts claims a range of 100–120 km, and with more pedaling on lower assistance levels, this seems achievable.
Plus, the Shimano 8-speed system ensures you can still ride smoothly if the battery runs low.

Design and Build Quality

The aluminum frame is robust yet lightweight at 35.75 kg, supporting riders between 170–200 cm and up to 150 kg. The sleek internal cable routing and smooth welds add to its premium look.

Suspension System

The E26’s suspension setup is top-tier:

• DNM Air Shock (Rear): Fully adjustable for a smooth, stable ride across different terrains.
• Dual Crown Fork (Front): With 100 mm of travel and adjustable knobs, it provides excellent damping and gives the bike an aggressive, rugged look.

Comfort and Control

The 71 cm aluminum handlebar is ergonomically designed for comfort, with controls for the gear shifter, brakes, horn, USB charging port, and optional throttle all within easy reach.
The bright LCD display offers real-time stats like speed, battery level, and pedal assist mode. Plus, it pairs with a smartphone app via Bluetooth, allowing you to:

 – Record rides.
 – Adjust pedal assist levels.
– Enable cruise control.
– Activate the headlight.
– Tweak various bike settings.

Braking and Tires

The Tektro hydraulic brakes with 203 mm rotors deliver precise, quiet stopping power. Unlike many bikes in this price range, the E26’s brakes are ready to use right out of the box.
The Kenda all-terrain tires (26×4.0 inches) are grippy, durable, and add to the bike’s versatility. They’re paired with stylish rims featuring unique hole patterns for an added aesthetic touch.

Lights and Additional Features

The motorcycle-style LED headlight not only enhances visibility but also adds to the bike’s bold design. An integrated electronic horn ensures you’re heard on busy roads.
The bike also comes with plastic fenders for basic protection from splashes and light rain (IPX4-rated). However, it’s best to avoid heavy rain or direct washing to maintain its longevity.

Room for Improvement

While the VELO saddle is functional, I found it a bit firm for my taste. Adding a rear rack or integrated taillight would also enhance its utility.
